三个字母的GIF（动图），原来读音不是按照最常见的三个单音节字母分开来念！

GIF（动图）是怎么念？
1) native speakers不会把GIF这三个字母分开念。
就像App, 不念a/p/p/, 而是念æp.
2) Native speakers有两种读音：

dʒɪf
-
ɡɪf
<p尚且未有定论。"The jury is still out."
两种读音都可以，都比三个字母分开念要好。
GIF的创始人如何说？
Steve Wilhite, GIF的发明者，表示应该读作“jif”，就像花生酱的品牌一样，而不是带有强烈G音。
顺便说一下GIF的全称：
GIF代表图形交换格式：Graphics Interchange Format。

Note: In spoken English, we usually refer to files created in Microsoft Word and Excel by stating the software name, such as “Word file” or “Excel file,” rather than the file extension.
Requesting a specific file format:
Both of the following are acceptable:
1) Could you send me as a…file?
2) Could you send me in…format?
Remember, no more arguing about how to pronounce GIF!
