Additional Pear Blossom Insights

Pear blossoms prefer warmth; they require relatively high temperatures for growth and certain low temperatures during dormancy. The suitable annual average temperatures for different types of pear trees are as follows: Autumn Beauty pears: 4-12°C, white pears and Western pears: 7-15°C, and sand pears: 13-21°C. When the soil temperature reaches above 0.5°C, the root system begins to function, and new roots grow at 6-7°C; growth stops when the temperature exceeds 30°C or falls below 0°C. Pear buds start to sprout at temperatures above 5°C, can flower at temperatures above 10°C, and flowering accelerates at temperatures above 14°C.
